The Readiness Diagnostic & Curve

Know if your people are ready - and what to do next.

Most organisations don't know how ready their workforce is to execute on the businesses’ strategic priorities - they discover it when execution fails. The Cognexo Readiness Diagnostic™ gives you a measurable baseline across five dimensions, placing your organisation on the Workforce Readiness Curve™ and surfacing exactly where execution risk lives today.

Request Your Readiness Diagnostic

The Cognexo Readiness Diagnostic™ 15 questions. Takes 10 minutes. A clear picture of your execution risk.

The Cognexo Readiness Diagnostic™ is a structured assessment that measures your organisation’s readiness to execute across five dimensions — Clarity, Capability, Confidence, Capacity and Sustained Performance.

It takes less than 10 minutes to complete. The output is an Executive Summary report that shows your overall Readiness Score, your position on the Workforce Readiness Curve™, your critical gaps and your strengths to build on - with recommended next steps tailored to where your organisation sits today.

What the Diagnostic measures:

Clarity

Do people understand exactly what is expected of them? This is the precondition for everything else. Without clarity at role level, capability and confidence cannot be applied effectively.

Capability

Do people have the verified knowledge and skills required to perform evidenced through measurement. Not just assumed after training?

Confidence

Do people feel equipped to apply their capability in real operating conditions? Confidence is the bridge between knowing and doing and it must be monitored independently.

Capacity

Is delivery pressure visible and actively managed? Competing initiative load and manager bandwidth are the most commonly overlooked readiness risks.

Sustained Performance

Are expected behaviours being maintained over time? Readiness is not an event it is a continuous state.

Your output: a one-page Executive Summary.

Every Diagnostic produces a structured Executive Summary report, giving you an immediate, evidence-based view of where your organisation stands and what needs to happen next.

Your report includes:

1

Your overall Readiness Score. A single number out of 100 that reflects your organisations current execution readiness across all five dimensions.

2

Your Readiness Stage. Where you sit on the Workforce Readiness Curve, from Assumed Readiness to Assured Readiness, with a clear description of what that stage means in practice.

3

Your dimension breakdown. Individual scores across Clarity, Capability, Confidence, Capacity and Sustained Performance, showing precisely where your strongest and weakest signals are.

4

Critical gaps requiring immediate attention. The specific dimensions where execution risk is highest, with an explanation of what that risk looks like in practice.

5

Strengths to build on. The dimensions where your organisation is performing well and where you can anchor further development.

6

Recommended next steps. A prioritised set of actions tailored to your readiness stage and gap profile.

7

An estimated value at risk. An indication of the strategic value currently exposed to execution risk in your organisation.

The Cognexo Workforce Readiness Curve™

A framework for understanding
where your organisation sits and
what it takes to move forward.

Most organisations do not fail because of poor strategy. They fail because their workforce was not ready to deliver it.
The Cognexo Workforce Readiness Curve™ describes five distinct stages of readiness maturity - each reflecting a recognisable
pattern in how organisations set expectations, measure capability, monitor confidence, manage capacity and sustain
performance over time.

Every organisation sits somewhere on the Curve. The Diagnostic tells you where.

Assumed Readiness
Score: 0–25
Readiness is taken for granted. No measurement is in place. Role expectations are unclear or undefined, capability is assumed once training is delivered and competing workload is invisible. Problems surface only after delivery fails - explained away as change fatigue or people issues.
Input-led Readiness
Score: 26–45

What each dimension looks like at the start and at the end.

The five dimensions dont improve automatically as an organisation grows. They require deliberate measurement, structured intervention and the right platform to make progress visible. This is what the journey looks like across each dimension.

The Diagnostic shows you where you are. Cognexo moves you forward.

The Readiness Diagnostic is a starting point, not an endpoint. It gives you a clear, evidence-based picture of your current readiness stage and the specific gaps holding your organisation back.

For organisations that want to act on what the Diagnostic reveals, Cognexos platform provides the four products needed to move from wherever you are today toward Assured Readiness continuously measuring, reinforcing and improving the five dimensions that determine whether your workforce can execute.

Stages 4 and 5 require continuous readiness measurement, capability validation, adoption monitoring and structured reinforcement. These are precisely the capabilities Cognexo delivers through Assess, Develop, Broadcast and Survey.

What leaders ask us about the Diagnostic and the Curve

How long does the Diagnostic take?

Less than five minutes. It involves 15 structured questions across the five readiness dimensions - Clarity, Capability, Confidence, Capacity and Sustained Performance. Your Executive Summary report is generated immediately on completion.

Is the Diagnostic self-serve?

For phase 1, the Diagnostic is completed with a Cognexo readiness specialist — who will guide you through the 15 questions and deliver your Executive Summary within 24 hours. A fully self-serve version is coming soon. If you'd prefer to speak with the team directly rather than complete the Diagnostic first, that's equally welcome.

Who should complete the Diagnostic?

The Diagnostic is designed for HR leaders, CHROs, transformation leaders and L&D heads who are responsible for workforce performance and want an honest picture of their organisation's execution readiness. It works best when completed by someone with visibility across people, programmes and performance.

What if we score at Stage 1 or 2?

That's exactly why the Diagnostic exists. Most organisations sit at Stage 1 or 2 — the difference is that you'll know it and have a clear picture of what to do about it. The Executive Summary provides specific, prioritised recommendations tailored to your stage.

How does the Readiness Curve relate to Cognexo's platform?

The Curve is a diagnostic framework. The platform is what enables movement along it. Stages 1 and 2 are accessible without Cognexo — many organisations are already there. Stages 3 through 5 require the kind of continuous measurement, reinforcement and insight that Cognexo's four products deliver.

Can we benchmark against other organisations?

As the Diagnostic scales, Cognexo will build sector and size benchmarks that allow you to compare your Readiness Score against similar organisations. This benchmarking capability will be available in a future release.
